ICMS SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS
Each year ICMS awards several scholarships and awards to distinguish outstanding students from various programs. Recipients are formally recognised at the annual graduation ceremony.
ICMS National Scholarships |

The International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) will award three National scholarships in 2010. These scholarships are open to Australian citizens completing year 12 in 2009 as well as to students who completed Year 12 in 2008 and took a gap year in 2009. Each scholarship covers the full tuition fees for two years of study at the College and is valued at over $33,000. Applications open in July 2009.

International Student Scholarships |

The ICMS International Student Scholarship is open to all international students applying to study at ICMS. The value of the scholarship is AUD$25,000 which covers tuition fees for subjects studies in the one-year Diploma course (Hospitality Management; Event Management; and International Tourism) OR first year studies of the two-year Associate Degree of Business (Property; Retail; and Sport), as well as on-campus accommodation for one semester.
Applicants will be selected for an interview on the basis of their academic achievements, English ability and the quality of a 500 word essay submission. Those who are successful in progressing to the interview stage will be interviewed by three ICMS staff members.

ICMS Bachelor Degree Scholarships |

The International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) will award three Bachelor Degree Scholarships commencing in 2010 for continuing students. Of each group one scholarship is available specifically for the Bachelor of Business Management while the other two scholarships may be used for study in any ICMS Bachelor Degree. These scholarships are open to domestic and international students. Applications close on 16 October 2009 and no late applications will be accepted.
- Continuing Students These scholarships are open to students completing their final year of an ICMS Bachelor Degree program. One scholarship is available specifically for the Bachelor of Business Management while the other two scholarships may be used for study in any ICMS Bachelor Degree. The scholarship is a fee waiver for twelve units of study in an ICMS Bachelor Degree program. |

MIB - MCom Graduate Assistant (GA) Scholarships |

ICMS is pleased to announce six Graduate Assistant (GA) positions available for the Masters of International Business or Master of Commerce in Business programs in 2010. The academic eligibility criterion for entry into the MIB / MCom is an expected 2.70 undergraduate CGPA.
Graduate Assistants will be required to:
- Take at least six (6) of the eight (8) Masters subjects at ICMS
- Pay up-front MU tuition fees for four (4) subjects at $3,004 per subject for international students or $2,440 per subject for domestic students.
- Perform up to 20 hours per week during the Master’s Semester dates.
The selected Graduate Assistant will receive:
- a fee waiver for four (4) ICMS units (half of the total Masters course load)
- On campus housing for the duration of studies

ICMS/Macquarie University Master’s Scholarship |
|

This scholarship is awarded to the students achieving the first, second and third highest cumulative GPA within the group completing the Bachelor of Business Administration degree each year. The scholarship entitles students to further tuition, leading to award of the Master of International Business or Master of Commerce in Business from Macquarie University, in association with ICMS.
The scholarship is structured as follows:
- First place awarded to the student achieving the highest cumulative GPA. A full tuition waiver (eight subjects) for ICMS/MQ Master’s program is awarded.
- Second place awarded to the student achieving the second highest cumulative GPA. A tuition waiver for four of the eight subjects of ICMS/MQ Master’s program is awarded.
- Third place awarded to the student achieving the third highest cumulative GPA. A tuition waiver for two of the eight subjects of ICMS/MQ Master’s program is awarded.

ICMS Academic Excellence Scholarships |

This scholarship is awarded to the students achieving the first, second, and third highest cumulative GPA within the group completing the Associate Degree each term. The scholarship entitles the students to further tuition, leading to the award of Bachelor of Business Administration from Macquarie University in association with ICMS. Students who have transferred into the Associate Degree and who have completed a minimum of 50% of the Associate Degree program are eligible for this award. Degree-bridging students undertaking Associate Degree curriculum subjects are not eligible for this award. The cumulative GPA for Cesar Ritz transfer students takes into account the first year GPA scores achieved at the Cesar Ritz College.
The scholarship is structured as follows:
- First place awarded to the student achieving the highest cumulative GPA. A full tuition waiver for 12 third year subjects is awarded;
- Second place awarded to the student achieving the second highest cumulative GPA. A tuition waiver for 8 of the 12 subjects is awarded. The student is required to pay for the first four subjects upon commencement of the third year;
- Third place awarded to the student achieving the third highest cumulative GPA. A tuition waiver for 4 out of the 12 subjects is awarded. The student is required to pay for the first eight subjects of the third year.

Touraust Corporation Scholarship (by application) |

This scholarship is awarded to the successful applicant from each graduating Associate Degree group or bridging program who demonstrates excellence in academia, industry training, professional performance, and overall contribution to ICMS. Students are encouraged to apply for the scholarship during their final term of the Associate Degree program. The Touraust Corporation Scholarship is also open to direct degree transfer students who have completed a minimum of two bridging terms at ICMS. The scholarship entitles the student to further tuition, leading to award of a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from MQ in association with ICMS.
A full tuition waiver for 12 third year subjects is provided. The recipient may be invited to participate in 80 hours of paid work experience within Touraust Corporation. All students completing term six will receive a letter detailing application guidelines. Application deadlines vary term to term and may be delivered to reception of the Executive Chairman and Founder’s office. |

Industry Scholarships |

A number of corporations offer scholarships to outstanding ICMS students, either as a result of key projects undertaken during study, or by application. These include the Touraust Corporation Scholarship, Novotel Scholarship, ANZ Scholarship and the Sodexho Australia Scholarship. |
Cesar Ritz Award for Academic Excellence |

An annual Cesar Ritz award is presented to the student(s) achieving the highest cumulative GPA for the Associate Degree of Business of the entire graduating class. The recipient of this award is honoured at the graduation ceremony each year. |
