ICMS Students Assist Tourism NSW

The Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) is Australia’s premier tourism industry trade event and the largest annual tourism trade show of its kind in the southern hemisphere. ATE provides a forum for Australian tourism businesses to showcase their products and establish important business links with the people and organisations that take Australian tourism to the international market place. 

A group of 66 students from the International College of Management, Sydney in Manly assisted Tourism NSW in this program by providing “meet and greet” services and directing ATE delegates to and from official functions. They were also escorting Sydney and NSW familiarisation tours for buyers.

During this event they have learnt about how the tourism industry promotes Australia and NSW to the international markets, the delivery of an international trade event and escorting tips for working with people from different cultures. Our lucky students experienced amazing sights including luxurious resorts, Harbour Bridge climbs, Opera House tours, Jenolan Caves, sheep shearing, exotic temples, hot air balloons and champagne-pouring trapeze artists.
