Getting to College

Transport services are available via Sydney ferries, buses and taxis. Currently, no train services operate to Manly.

 Sydney Ferries

Ferries leave approximately every half hour from Circular Quay (Wharf 3) and return at similar intervals. The trip takes 30 minutes.

Manly Ferry gates close two minutes prior to the departure time, to assist with on-time running. Tickets can be purchased from the ticket booth at Wharf 3, Circular Quay.

Fast Ferries

There is also the option of a Fast Ferry which only takes 18 minutes to get to and from Manly and Circular Quay.

Sydney Buses

Sydney buses operate regularly around Manly and can transport you to all Sydney regions.

ICMS Shuttle Bus

The ICMS Shuttle bus is a free service for ICMS Students. It runs from Manly up to ICMS and to the North Head Sanctuary Campus.

Hop Skip Jump

The Hop-Skip-Jump is a free community bus service that has four different routes around Manly and operates 7 days a week.
The Manly Route (clockwise via Swim Centre) will drop you off at the top of Osborne Road, only a short 2 minute walk from ICMS.

Airport Transfers

There are a variety of options for getting to ICMS from the airport, which include:

  • Private taxi: It will cost you about $80 and takes about 40 minutes from the airport.
  • Train - Ferry: The cheaper alternative is to take a train to Circular Quay (about $15), then take the ferry to Manly from the wharf ($7.50) and once you arrive to Manly Wharf, take a taxi up the hill (about $8). Please note that while this is the cheapest way to get to ICMS from the airport, this could take about two hours.
    • Shuttle Bus: The other option is to contact an airport shuttle service, which may be able to tansport you to Manly for cheaper rate than a taxi. Because there may be other people on this shuttle service, it may take anywhere from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours for you to arrive at ICMS. You can contact any of the following airport transfer services to find out what they offer:
