Sophie Corcoran - International Tourism |
I am currently working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Tourism. Spending nine months at Swain Travel as a Reservations Coordinator enabled me to participate in numerous family tours, including a trip to Kangaroo Island in South Australia. On a personal level, winning the NSW Minister of Tourism Student Achievement Award was a wonderful recognition, but it was also a win for the strong skill set and drive that ICMS has fostered in me since day one.

Pia Westblad - Hospitality Management |
I love working with people, organising and meeting new challenges. I spent my nine months of paid Industry Training at Club Med Lindeman Island and was eventually promoted to Corporate Groups Manager where I remained for the duration of my placement. It was hard to prepare for Club Med as it is like nothing else, but I was very committed and wanted to learn everything about the industry. With my ICMS degree and Industry Training experience, the opportunities are vast and I’m not limited to just one country or field.

Brad Parker - Sport Management |
When I began my studies at ICMS, I had intended to pursue a degree in event management, but kept feeling a pull towards sport management. After a discussion about changing programs with my lecturers, I switched to sport management and haven’t looked back since then. Currently, I am a Sales Executive with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles as a part of my paid industry training. When I started to work for the Eagles it was an exciting time for the organisation since the Eagles had just won the 2008 Premiership. The work is fast paced and challenging, but I enjoy working with clients and the variety of my work day. Find out more about Sport Management

Jacqueline Sargent-Gillet - Retail Services Management |
I spent my nine months of paid industry training as the Kookai Retail Manager at David Jones. Working for an Australian retail icon, there was a high level of professionalism and business management knowledge expected from day one. ICMS prepared me for the real-world experience of industry training, as I learned the ins and outs of the retail business. Even though I have completed industry training, my knowledge base and experience continue to increase term after term.

As a third year student in Bachelor of Business Administration in Property Services Management program, I choose the property industry because of the long term job prospects and the flexibility that is offered within this industry. After nine months of paid industry training at Brookvale Multiplex I was offered a part-time job whilst I finish my degree. Extra curricular activities remains an important part of my academic experience, and I was recently elected President of the Student Representative Council.
