Pathways
Students who successfully complete our vocational education Diploma of Hospitality may articulate into the Associate Degree in Business (with a specialisation in Hospitality Management) with full credit for all common completed units of study.
Entry Requirements
Completion of the NSW Higher School Certificate with passes in English and Mathematics or equivalent. Please see below for English language requirements if your previous study was in a language other than English.
English language requirements
If your previous education was conducted overseas, you may need to complete an English Language Test. Students from a non-English speaking background are required to demonstrate proficiency in English prior to commencement of study. An overall IELTS score of at least 5.5 with minimum score of 6.0 in Speaking and 5.5 in Writing (or equivalent) as listed below is required.

In addition, the International College of Management, Sydney accepts the following as meeting the English Proficiency requirements:
- Tertiary qualification from an approved institution where the language of instruction is English, obtained within two years prior to commencement of course
- Tertiary studies in a country in which English is the official language, for a minimum duration of two years, within two years prior to commencement of course
- A satisfactory score in the English Assessment administered by the Sydney English Language Centre (SELC) on behalf of ICMS indicating that no further English instruction is required to meet the entry requirements for the ICMS Diploma
- Hong Kong, Indian, Sri Lankan, Singapore GCE “A” Level general English with a C grade or above, completed within two years prior to commencement of course
- Norwegian “Vitnemal” with minimum grade 3 in 1st year English units
- Swedish Slutbetyg Fran Gymnasieskola with minimum G grade in all English units

About ICMS vocational programs
ICMS vocational programs offered comprise modules [units of competence] from the CPP07 Property Services and SIT07 Tourism, Hospitality and Events Training Packages, and provide the educational qualifications required by the relevant regulatory and statutory bodies. The College is a Registered Training Organisation and as such is bound by the standards contained in the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF 2007) which provides the nationally agreed quality training framework for the Australian vocational education and training system. The College is audited against these standards and these provide the basis of quality in the administration and delivery of training for all students.
