Can I drive the College van?
No. Only Staff, Resident Assistants and authorised personnel for are permitted to drive ICMS vehicles, only after completing a driving assessment from Operations.
Can I get a travel concession card?
You may only have a concession card if you are a full-time student and an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident (must show passport for proof of residency). If you are on industry training, you are not permitted to have a travel concession card. If you are receiving an income then you are not entitled to receive a travel concession card.
How do I sign up and pay for an activity?
You may pay cash, or you can complete a deposit deduction form at Student Services. You will need to take this form to the Accounts Department where they will verify funds available. Students who have operating accounts must maintain a minimum of $500.00 after deducting the cost of the activity. Registration will be confirmed upon payment.
What if I sign up for an event, but my name is not on the list of participants?
Your sign up is confirmed only after you have paid for the activity. You will be given a receipt for your payment. It is your responsibility to ensure that sufficient funds are available in your student security deposit.
How much money do I need in the security deposit to use it for an activity sign up?
You must have $500.00 in your deposit account at all times. For example, if an activity costs $50.00, you must then have at least $550.00 in your account.
What does my student card entitle me to?
You will receive your Student ID Card during O-week of the term. You must present your student ID card at every examination. By presenting your card at various shops, restaurants, cafes and cinemas, you will receive a general student discount. If you purchase the Student Benefit Card you will receive greater discounts for ICMS activites.
What's available at the student services counter?
The student services counter is located on the ground floor of Kelly House and provides students with a central point of contact for information and services regarding the College and the local community. The student services counter decreases reception congestion by offering non-essential services and information, such as binding, replacement name badges and all student administration documentation. The student services counter is also the central point to sign up for various student activities organised by the Student Experience Department throughout the term.

Where do I find the most current information about student activities?
At the beginning of each term a calendar is posted on the student section of the website. The calendar is available at Students Experience and on the notice boards around the college.

The office is located on the ground floor of Kelly House.
How do I apply for my overseas student health insurance?
The College prepays for your health insurance from your deposit account so that you are covered upon arrival in Australia. The health insurance lasts for 12 months and you are responsible for renewing your application upon expiration. If you already have Australian health insurance from another college, you should advise the Admissions Office immediately to ensure that you are not charged.

How do I reapply for health insurance when it expires?
If you are a Medibank Private member, you can renew your health insurance online. Otherwise, take your current passport and health insurance card to the Medibank Private office and pay for the number of months for which you need cover. A list of locations of Medibank Private offices is available on the Medibank website. You will need to get a statement of enrolment from Student Administration if you are renewing your health insurance at any time. Do not let your health insurance expire. Failure to renew your health insurance may result in the cancellation of your student visa.

What should I do if I require the services of a doctor?
You will need to pay the doctor's fee upon consultation. You will be given a receipt that you must take to any Medibank Private office and fill out a claim form. You will then receive a partial cash refund.
