Market Place and Courtyard CafeThe Courtyard Cafe, commonly known as the “CYC” to students and staff, and the Marketplace are the two main eateries for students at the College. The marketplace caters primarily to residential students and staff and the CYC has a wide variety of meals, snacks and drinks available to purchase. Both outlets are teaching environments. Meals in both restaurants are prepared and served by ICMS students. Term one hospitality students are required to experience life in a kitchen and Front of House through hands-on planning, preparing and serving meals. At the Marketplace residential students are able to enjoy breakfast, varying from an English breakfast to a continental breakfast. Lunches and dinners are always interesting, incorporating dietary requirements and bringing a little bit of home to international students. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served in the Marketplace. Breakfast items, lunch and snacks are available in CYC. Marketplace Hours
The CYC offers a cafe-style environment, allowing students to choose from a variety of food similar to what they would find in any upmarket Sydney cafe. The day begins with health conscious breakfast items as well as a traditional cheese & ham croissant. Freshly made coffee is available from the barista station as well as a wide variety of soft drinks. Students are able to enjoy their lunch in the CYC restaurant or outside in the courtyard which offers plenty of seating for larger groups. Please note the Marketplace is open only during undergraduate terms. Courtyard Cafe Hours8:00am to 4:00pm (Monday to Friday) Please note that all menus and prices are subject to change.
