Who is the Comms Team?

The Communications Team is a group of current students, selected by the International College of Management, Sydney, to represent the student body. Their primary role is to communicate messages loud and clear amongst the students on and off campus. This includes production of the weekly student newsletter, Word on the Street, which keeps students up to date on all social, sporting, operational and academic issues. Recent accomplishments include the development of the ICMS Social Guide, Student Online News, Trivia Nights, Bandanna Day, Commencement Day and the weekly editions of Word on the Street. Who are we looking for?

The team takes applicants each term for positions such as social, academic and sports reporters, as well as photographers, editors and designers. Students who apply need to be able to demonstrate that they are enthusiastic, dedicated, creative and have excellent written communication abilities. Why should I apply? All students that join the Comms Team are rewarded community contribution points for the time that they put into the projects. A written reference from the marketing department is available upon request at the completion of the term. Where places are available, members of the team will be invited to attend social events on campus from which they can report and photograph directly on a more personal level. Members of the team can develop their communication skills with the support of fellow team members and the marketing department.
