ICMS Partners with Surf Life Saving

The International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) is proud to announce a three-year partnership deal with Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches (SLSSNB).

It is a huge boost for SLSSNB, a volunteer organisation that provides a very valuable rescue service to the community, which is in line with ICMS’ vision of supporting the community in which it is based.

ICMS is the largest Higher Education Institution on the northern beaches and, over the years, many ICMS students have been members of surf life saving clubs.

“We are a proud partner of surf life saving because of the important and valuable role the volunteer lifesavers play in our community,” ICMS CEO and President Professor Dominic Szambowski said.

“We love their vision as an organisation: to save lives, to create great Australians and to build better communities. We support their ethos and stand alongside surf lifesavers as key players on the northern beaches, working together for the betterment of the broader community of which our students are a part.”

ICMS replaces Streets (Unilever) as the major sponsor of SLSSNB with the sponsorship contributing to the organisations running costs thereby reducing the cost to its members.

Beachgoers will soon be seeing ICMS branded marquees on the 21 beaches that SLSSNB volunteer lifesavers patrol and guard.

In line with this mutually beneficial partnership, SLSSNB has launched a new scholarship for an ICMS student currently studying for a Bachelor of Sports Management or Bachelor of Events Management degree.

“Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches thanks ICMS for this wonderful sponsorship and support, and are glad to be working together in this area,” CEO Steve McInnes said.

“It is through corporate partners such as these that we able to maintain the high standards of safety on our beaches that have been our hallmark over the years.”

Member for Pittwater Rob Stokes, who is also NSW Education Minister and a Patrol Captain at Mona Vale Surf Life Saving Club, welcomed the ICMS’s support for Surf Life Saving Sydney Northern Beaches.

“It is wonderful to see these two northern beaches institutions working together for the benefit of our community,” Rob Stokes said.

“I thank ICMS for supporting our surf life savers and anticipate this will be a partnership that is highly rewarding for all involved.”
