What referencing method does ICMS use for academic writing? 

ICMS uses the American Psychological Association (APA) referencing system.  

Where should I go if I am having trouble taking notes in class?

The Academic Learning Centre has a variety of tools to assist you with note taking, both online and in the office. 

Will the Academic Learning Centre proofread my academic paper before I turn it in? 

No:  The ALC can offer you guidance on how to prepare and write an academic paper, give grammar and proofreading tips, but will not proofread or edit your paper.  After an assessment has been marked, ALC staff can go over your lecturer’s marks with you and discuss academic style and language feedback. 

If I miss more than two days of class due to illness what should I do?

If you miss more than two days of class due to illness you will need to provide a medical certificate from a College nominated doctor.
