Admission Information for Bachelor of International Tourism

ADMISSION CRITERIA 

Recommended Studies for Bachelor degree study: Completion of NSW HSC (or equivalent) with a minimum Band 2 in English Standard or English EAL/D and any of the suggested equivalent subjects, including Mathematics Standard 2, Business Studies, Economics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Investigating Science, Legal Studies, Financial Services or Business Services.

If you do not meet these requirements, consider applying for a Diploma or a Pathway Program

ATAR: Not all institutions assess students based on their ATAR. ICMS do not believe that ranking is a reliable indicator of future career success. Instead we use a non-ATAR based system for admissions. We do not use ATAR adjustments or selection rankings either. ICMS student applications are assessed on:

ICMS supports the participation by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people and are sensitive to ATSI knowledge and culture. To that end ICMS welcome ATSI applications. Those applicants are requested to apply with any documents evidencing work experience, training, previous academic achievement or evidence that supports the applicants character. The Deputy Vice Chancellor on a case-by-case basis will assess these applications.

ICMS supports participation of applicants that may have disability, illness or family disruption and are sensitive to these circumstances. ADVANCED STANDING / CREDIT TRANSFER / RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)

You may be entitled to credit for prior learning, whether formal or informal. Formal learning can include previous study in higher education, vocational education, or adult and community education. Informal learning can include on the job lealrning or various kinds of work and life experience. Credit can reduce the amount of study needed to complete a degree.
