ESL and Academic Support

  • Full time or part-time (4 days or 0,8 FTE)
  • Location:  Northern Beaches Campus, Manly, with travel to City campus as required
  • Fixed Term: 2 years

ABOUT THE ROLE

The position is a student support role, working closely with the Manager, Student Success Centre and Student Services teams to ensure any student who requires specialised ESL and academic support, is given the assistance they need in a timely manner, through group or one-to-one, personalised advice, through various mediums of delivery on our city and Manly campuses. 

The position also support the Manager, Student Success Centre in monitoring student progression in accordance with ICMS’ progression policy.

This is a fixed term role for 2 years.

ABOUT YOU

To apply for this role, you should have:

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant ESL discipline
  • A teaching qualification
  • Experience in tutoring / supporting a diverse range of students
  • Sound interpersonal and communications skills
  • Experience in working in a team-based environment
  • Passion for student support

  • Experience working in a similar position with students within a higher education environment
  • Demonstrated creative achievement
  • Ability to focus on student driven learning
  • A track record in contributing to technical achievement
