About the role

The Registrar Services and Data Officer plays an essential role in providing high quality, consistent operational support to the Deputy Registrar (Student Systems and Data) in administering key business processes related to student administration systems, student data and internal / external reporting.
The role spans course and student lifecycle administration from course accreditation, through student enrolment and data, to result entry, Board of Examiners preparation, and completions; as well as internal reporting is conducted via PowerBI and external reporting to TCSI and QILT.

Examples of Accountabilities

  • Maintain core course and subject information in the student administration systems as per regulatory and governance guidelines, ensuring the highest level of accuracy
  • Provision of high quality, accurate and timely processing of all Registrar Services administration functions, complying with external regulatory requirements and ICMS policies and procedures
  • Collaboration with the Data Analytics team to develop, enhance and quality check PowerBI reports on student data views required by Registry, Student Centre and Academic Team Tertiary Collection of Student Information (TCSI) reporting
  • Processing data requests related to QILT surveys, managing the communication of results to ICMS stakeholders
  • Preparation for Board of Examiners
  • Deputise for Deputy Registrar as required.

About you

  • An undergraduate degree preferably in Information Technology or related area
  • Evidenced experience in managing business processes and information systems
  • A track record in higher education sector administration and systems. Any experience in Oracle Peoplesoft is highly valued
  • Ability to understand and apply an understanding of student perspective to all solutions implemented
  • A track record in identifying and proactively solving service-related issues towards positive outcomes
