Work Integrated Learning (Placement) Facilitator

The International College of Management Sydney is seeking a Work Integrated Learning (Placement) Facilitator.

  • Full-time or part-time work pattern available (4 or 5 day week)
  • Work Integrated Learning (WIL) / Internships Team
  • Primarily working with Sports Management and High Performance Sport students
  • Manly location

About the Work Integrated Learning Team

The WIL (Placement) Facilitator will support the goals of the WIL Office by embracing excellence in the area of student placement. This will include building and managing a portfolio of industry relationships and providing on-going support to placement providers.

Work Integrated Learning (WIL) at ICMS is central to our purpose of educating students for personal success in their professional life. The WIL Office is responsible for the preparation, placement, monitoring and assessment of students undertaking WIL subjects which include an industry placement.

Portfolios include accounting, sport, events, hospitality, property, fashion management, business and postgraduate.

About the role
This position involves student engagement to enhance student readiness for placement.  Students are aligned with their placement provider and monitored and mentored during their WIL placement.
The position encompasses the administrative and quality assurance processes required to ensure mutually beneficial placements for students, placement providers and ICMS.

About you 
You will have:

  • Demonstrated business development skills and ability to build, maintain and develop strong external and internal relationships
  • An understanding of recruitment and placement processes, with an interest in supporting students to develop and enhance their employability skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to accomplish key deliverables by balancing competing priorities.
  • A degree in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated cross cultural skills and an understanding of the different approaches required
  • The ability to plan, organise and achieve work targets, sometimes in demanding circumstances and work harmoniously and constructively with colleagues
  • Attention to detail and an ability to focus on continuous improvement
  • Excellent computer literacy and an ability to learn new software
  • An understanding of the Australian HE and VET sectors (preferred)
  • Full Covid19 vaccination status or NSW Health Medical Exemption
