Study Tours and Short Courses

Study Tours & Short Courses provide a unique opportunity for the education and professional development of students, academics and professionals seeking to internationalise their qualifications.

ICMS has significant experience in conducting these type of international experiences. Universities, industry and government groups can give their education and professional development curricula a boost by engaging with ICMS. We can help you design and develop comprehensive study tour content that is professionally, socially and culturally engaging. We also provide logistical assistance, from booking on campus housing and ground transport, to organising meals and social opportunities for your tour group.

Our vibrant external engagement culture and strong links with industry allows us to build real-world examples into the curriculum of our tours, inviting industry and government experts to deliver guest lectures and guided site visits.

Our tours have a rapidly-developing international reputation for their combination of classroom learning, industry engagement and practical experience that provides participants with a rounded professional engagement with an international edge.

Study Tours & Short Courses can be credit baring or non-credit baring programs, they can be run by overseas faculty or ICMS faculty and can be for any length of time. Typical short course programs run anywhere from 5 – 30 nights. ICMS Packages are available for Programs in General English, Academic English, Undergraduate and Postgraduate studies.

What’s Involved?

1. Specialised Lectures

Lectures can cover numerous topics provided by our faculty or your overseas faculty. Lectures can be customised to meet the needs of our clients and we will develop a program that provides the best outcomes for the client.

2. Engage with Industry

Representatives from various ICMS partner organisations have successfully delivered face-to-face presentations or conducted tours providing valuable hands-on experience and an opportunity to engage with real life practitioners. Our Industry connections are your Industry connections and can be incorporated into your Study Tour or Short Course.

3. Cultural Activities

We can incorporate specific cultural experiences into your tour, allowing participants the opportunity to discover Sydney’s rich and diverse cultural life and history. From the Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley, Harbour Bridge Climb, Cruise on Sydney Harbour and unique dining experiences, anything and everything is possible.

4. Logistics

We design, develop and manage comprehensive study tour content that is professionally, socially and culturally engaging. We can assist with all facets of the program; from booking accommodation and ground transport, to organising meals and social activities for your tour group.
