Note:

The course structure is based on nine Trimesters (each of 13 weeks duration), with four subjects taught in each semester. It comprises:

  • Students must complete Semester 1 subjects before beginnig more advanced study.
  • Students may request approval to replace up to four subjects in Semester 1 if they have equivalent prior study. Replacement subjects must be at masters level and be approved after academic consultation with the head of postgraduate studies prior to commencing studies.
  • The Applied Research Project cannot begin before students have completed their specialist study in Semester 2.
  • Elective subject maybe selected from: International Finance, International Accounting, International Trade and Banking, International Marketing, International Tourism, Tourism and Hospitality Marketing, Hospitality Property and Facilities Management, and Strategic Management in Tourism and Hospitality.

How to apply

Articulation* agreements at ICMS provide a formal agreement between an external partner institution and ICMS. Students who wish to ‘articulate’ to a course at ICMS from a designated program at a recognised partner institution, can receive credit for identified subjects or a group of subjects when commencing a designated ICMS program.

Step 1 Enquire

Enquire through your current institution about articulating to an ICMS program.

Step 2 apply

Apply for your ICMS program and submit your academic transcripts and relevant documents as required.Online application

Step 3 assess

ICMS will assess your application according to the criteria set out in the articulation agreement.

Step 4 accept

Students are advised of the outcome of their application within 10 working days.

DEF:*Articulation is a process that enables students to progress from a current or completed higher education qualification into an ICMS program according to the relevant articulation agreement.
