Celebrating ICMS and Aspire Institute High Achievers

On Wednesday evening the ICMS and Aspire communities were joined by industry partners to celebrate the achievements of high performing students at the much anticipated Dean's List and Scholarship Recognition Ceremony.

The ceremony honoured students making the Dean’s List for the 2014 September Trimester, recognising their dedication to academic excellence across management studies in business, events, hospitality, sports and property development.

Also recognised were scholarship recipients for the 2015 February Trimester. More than 15 highly passionate students benefited from the highest level of scholarship support to date, in terms of both value and number of recipients - a new milestone for ICMS.

Representatives from our valued scholarship sponsors HOSTPLUS, ANZ, Manly Council, NSW Rugby League and Touraust Corporation made the presentations to recipients as proud families, friends and academics applauded their achievement.

Concluding the ceremony on a high note, Ann Whitelock Courtney-O’Connor, Chairperson, Aspiring Education Foundation, made the announcement that international retailer Michael Hill had confirmed sponsorship of the Michael Hill Scholarship.

Commencing in 2016, this new scholarship will advance the career of business management and retail marketing students, providing a $10,000 tuition fee waiver and paid work placement at Michael Hill.

Ann also announced another exciting initiative to develop and support an industry based project in collaboration with the Weatherdon Corporation, suppliers to the hospitality industry. Further details about this and the Michael Hill Scholarship will be announced shortly.
