Hotel Management Opportunity Structure:

Year 1:

In the first year, you will be placed in a Sydney Marriott hotel while commencing your Bachelor of Hospitality Management studies. On successfully completing eight degree subjects, your apprentice learning journal, and the Marriott International appraisal, you will move to year 2.

Year 2:

During the second year, you have the flexibility to choose your location and discipline. It is recommended to experience at least two different hotel types during the four-year opportunity. On completing six degree subjects, your apprentice learning journal, and the Marriott International appraisal, you will proceed to year 3.

Year 3:

Returning to Sydney, you will collaborate with Marriott International to select a hotel for your third year. Discussions with ICMS program managers will help inform your elective choices and work rotation, providing you with a well-rounded experience. Successful completion of six degree subjects, your apprentice learning journal, and the Marriott International appraisal will lead you to year 4.

Year 4:

In your final year, you have the freedom to choose your desired location and discipline. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to join the Marriott “Voyager” management training program, which spans 12 to 18 months. Lastly, you will complete the remaining four subjects of your degree program, ensuring a comprehensive educational foundation.

Applications for the Marriott International and International College of Management, Sydney Hotel Degree Apprenticeship open in June 2023.
