Anne-Marie Flynn was previously the head of event management studies at ICMS from 2004-2013. She is the Dean: Academic Operations. In this role, Anne-Marie is responsible for managing, monitoring and evaluating the core teaching and learning activities for all programs at ICMS. Anne-Marie’s academic interests include best practice in teaching and learning, quality assurance, curriculum design and development, e-learning and faculty development. She received a Teaching Excellence Award at ICMS in 2008 and 2013. With over 25 years’ experience in the event and hospitality sectors, and 16 years in higher education, she has developed strong and long term business relationships with clients including leading Australian companies and education institutions. Anne-Marie is the Vice Chair of the NSW Branch of Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) and has been a branch committee member since 2009. She has participated as a national judge annually since 2009 for the MEA National Annual Awards. She has been awarded an Associate Fellow by MEA for her commitment to the event industry and her experience - one of only 21 AFMEAs recognised in Australia.
