Margot is Deputy Vice Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) on the Senior Academic Team at the International College of Management. In this role she is responsible for teams leading academic operations, quality and innovation in ICMS learning and teaching, including accreditation and curriculum review projects, learning design, learning technologies and professional development initiatives as well as the Work Integrated Learning Unit, Library and Student Success Centre.
Margot has held a range of senior management positions and consultations in both higher education and vocational sectors, public and private, in Australia and New Zealand. Most recently she was Head of Learning and Teaching Transformations at Navitas, a global role overseeing whole-of-institution curriculum transformation projects, learning and teaching innovations and professional development for teaching staff. Previous roles include Director, Think Futures at Think Education Group; and Senior Manager, Learning and Teaching Enhancement in UNSW’s Learning and Teaching Unit.
Margot’s research interests and much of her project work explore technologies for learning and teaching and change management to implement these technologies as a driver of transformation and staff capability building'. Research underpins her leadership, teaching and professional development work and she has over 600 citations for journal articles, conference papers and book chapters (Google scholar, 2018). She was co-author of a ‘best paper’ at the 2017 TEQSA conference, on the topic of ‘Whole of institution transformation’.
