Jeannie Wang is on the Senior Academic Team at the International College of Management and currently occupies the role of Program Manager Business and Property.
Jeannie worked as a Project Manager for the opening of China’s first international hotel Sheraton Hua Ting Hotel after China opened its doors to foreign investments in early 1980s. She was also a key negotiator in the management contract negotiation between Sheraton Corporation and Shanghai Tourism Bureau, a massive government organization that controls all businesses in the leisure industry in the biggest city in China. Later, Jeannie held a series of management positions including Senior Account Manager with Sheraton servicing and developing its key clientele to increase the business’s profitability and market share.
She started her teaching career in Australia in 1994 after completing her first Master’s Degree in Leisure Studies at UTS’s Postgraduate Business School, specialising in Marketing.
Jeannie’s studies and previous roles span a wide spectrum of industries, from hospitality to tourism, to managing statewide curriculum designs for TAFE NSW, and to be appointed a senior advisor by NSW Department of Education International Unit to project manage the Training Needs Analysis for the world’s largest expo – Shanghai Expo 2010. Jeannie is also a successful business owner in her own right for 20 years.
In Education, Jeannie has 25 years’ experience and has held the positions of Head Teacher, Business Development Manager, Assistant Faculty Director and Director of Promotions in TAFE NSW and Senior Lecturer and Program Manager for Think Education, Laureate International Universities and Torrens University before joining ICMS in 2018.
Jeannie holds two Master’s degrees from University of Technology Sydney – Master of Education (Adult Education) and Master of Arts (Leisure Studies). Jeannie also holds a Graduate Diploma in Vocational Education and Training, an Advanced Diploma of Conveyancing and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment amongst her other academic qualifications.
Jeannie is a proud recipient for NSW Education Minister’s Quality Teaching Award in 2005.
