About the Role:

An exciting opportunity to volunteer at one of the Council’s biggest community festivals, gaining valuable hands-on experience in event planning and execution.

As a volunteer, you’ll contribute to delivering a major event that brings the local community together.

This is the perfect chance to develop practical skills and enhance your résumé in the following areas:

  • Event Planning & Management
  • Customer Service & Guest Experience
  • Bump-in/Bump-out Logistics
  • Event Styling & Coordination
  • Networking with Local Businesses and Schools
  • Experience working at Fashion Parades

Ideal for: Hospitality and/or Event Management students

Important Dates:
Interviews will be held during the week starting Monday, 24th November, and will run for two weeks.

After the interviews, volunteer roles will be finalised. An induction will be scheduled for mid-January, with further details provided leading up to the festival on 21-22 February 2026.

The Role

The Sales & Events Coordinator keeps the Commercial team running like a well-tuned record player. You’ll be the first point of contact for event enquiries, craft proposals and contracts, support the team with reporting and admin, and help bring memorable events to life.

A natural organiser with a knack for detail and warm hospitality, you’ll bridge the gap between our clients and our internal teams to deliver smooth, stress-free experiences from first chat to final bill.

What You’ll Do

Events Support

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure events run smoothly from planning to pack-down
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and event details in Delphi
  • Assist with BEOs, client notes, and site inspections
  • Update client documents and coordinate venue bookings
  • Support event billing, reconciliation, and reporting

Sales Support

  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and client reports
  • Manage the sales inbox and support group/event coordination
  • Research prospective clients to support lead generation
  • Coordinate VIP bookings and assist with purchase orders
  • Support the Sales Team with travel and general admin needs

About You

  • A strong team player with excellent communication skills
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Tech-savvy, adaptable, and solutions-focused
  • Positive, energetic, and committed to great service
  • Experienced in sales or events or holds a Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or Tourism (desirable)
  • Delphi experience preferred
  • Must have full working rights in Australia
