Events are a core part of how cities and towns communicate their brand attributes, they are a key part of destination marketing. In order to attract private and public sector investment, eventsrequire a solid business case based on critical and objective assessments.
This subject will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to do this. prepare such a business case for an event. There are a number of other elements to consider in the design of events , including online technology planning tools, introduced in this subject.
a) Design an event from concept to evaluation utilising a range of creative, critical analysis and design skills.
b) Engage in appropriate and independent event development research.
c) Undertake a full event feasibility study.
d) Prepare a comprehensive business case to present to a major Events Board for approval.
e) Critique best practice events in terms of innovation, technology and design across Australia and globally.
f) Assess the critical success factors for major events.
