Strong Advocacy for a Growing Sector

Ann believes the higher education sector needs clear, strong advocacy to meet the challenges ahead.

“The higher education sector is at a critical point in a number of areas. There are key changes progressing that directly affect providers, regulators, and the whole sector. It is crucial that the higher education sector operates equitably for all high quality providers. Now, more than ever, we need strong advocacy to ensure high quality independent providers continue to thrive and innovate.

“Meeting the domestic tertiary education targets set by this government mean independent providers will be integral to achieving those targets in educating Australians. Further, recent years have seen challenges internationally for providers, these have impacted Australia’s tertiary education sector on a global platform, there will need to be work done to rebuild this.

“Representation and contribution matters and collaboration is important, I am proud to represent us in this space.”
