Our International Study Tour elective subject is a unique opportunity for ICMS students to explore global business practices, cultural experiences, and immersive industry insights in the Asia Pacific.
Whether you’re studying hospitality, tourism, fashion, marketing, management, or technology, this subject can give you hands-on exposure to international business operations – all while enhancing your leadership, cross-cultural communication, and strategic decision-making skills.
We have three exciting destinations potentially lined up for Trimester 3, 2026 – now we want your input to help choose the best location!
Destination 1: Tokyo, Japan
Experience the perfect combination of technology, culture, and business innovation. Here’s what to expect:
- Stay at the world’s first fully operated robot hotel.
- Explore Tokyo’s iconic districts: Shibuya, Harajuku, Akihabara.
- Enjoy a full day at Tokyo Disneyland or DisneySea.
- Visit hospitality, marketing, and tech industry sites for hands-on learning.
Why Tokyo? You’ll gain insights into global business strategy in a highly developed economy while exploring a vibrant and futuristic city.
Destination 2: Bali, Indonesia
Immerse yourself in sustainability, culture, and creative industries. Here’s what to expect:
- Visit eco-resorts and participate in sustainability workshops.
- Experience Balinese culture with temple visits, cooking classes, and traditional performances.
- Explore marketing, events, and fashion through industry engagement and networking.

Destination 3: Nadi, Fiji
The Fiji study tour is a multidisciplinary experience. It will enable students from diverse fields to collaborate, apply varied perspectives to real-world challenges, and deepen their understanding of cultural, environmental, and economic context from an emerging economy. Here’s what to expect:
- Engage with local communities through village visits and cultural performances.
- Participate in marine tourism excursions, resort workshops, and career panels.
