The Australian Government’s annual Student Experience Survey (SES) is now open. This is your chance to share your thoughts about your higher education experience.
Your time at ICMS is more than just lectures and assignments. It’s about the connections you make, the skills you build, and the experiences that prepare you for your future career. We are committed to making your journey exceptional, and we need your help to do it.
The annual Student Experience Survey (SES) feedback is one of the most powerful tools we have to understand what we’re doing right and where we can improve.
The SES is a national survey that asks students across Australia about their higher education experience. It’s managed by the Social Research Centre on behalf of the Australian Government Department of Education.
The survey covers everything from teaching quality and student support to learning resources and skills development.
Think of it as a report card, but for us. You get to rate your experience and tell us what you think. Your honest feedback helps us see ICMS through your eyes.
If you have studied an undergraduate or postgraduate degree with us starting in or up until the end of Trimester 1, 2025, then you are eligible to complete the survey.
It only takes about 10-15 minutes to complete the survey. It’s a small amount of time that can make a big difference.
Eligible students will receive an email invitation to participate. Check your student email account for a message from the Social Research Centre ([email protected]). The email will contain a unique link for you to access the survey. Some students may also receive an invitation via SMS or telephone call.
If you can’t find the email, be sure to check your junk or spam folder. The survey is only open until 12 October 2025, so don’t wait!
By completing the survey, you will be entered into a weekly prize draw for the chance to win a $1,000 prepaid e-gift card. Go to https://srcentre.com.au/sestcs for prize draw term and conditions.
At ICMS, our mentoring ethos is at the heart of everything we do.
We pride ourselves on providing an industry-focused education that supports you personally and professionally. To keep this promise, we need to listen to the people who matter most: our students.
Completing the SES allows you to directly influence the future of ICMS – and higher education across Australia. Here’s how:
Are your lecturers engaging? Are the course materials relevant to your career goals? The SES asks specific questions about the quality of teaching you receive.
Your answers help us identify strengths in our academic programs and pinpoint areas that need more attention. This feedback can lead to new teaching methods, updated course content, and better academic support for all students.
From career services and academic advising to campus facilities and social events, your student experience extends far beyond the classroom.
The SES gives you a platform to comment on the support systems available at ICMS. Whether you have ideas for new student clubs, suggestions for the library, or thoughts on our mentoring programs, your voice helps us invest in the resources that truly benefit you.
By sharing your experience, you are not just improving things for yourself. You are paving the way for future students.
Your insights help us continue to build a supportive and dynamic community. The changes and improvements made based on your feedback will benefit classes for years to come, strengthening the value of an ICMS education for everyone.
We understand that you might hesitate to share completely honest feedback if you worry it could be traced back to you. That’s why the SES is completely confidential.
The survey is managed by an external organisation, the Social Research Centre.
ICMS does not have access to individual responses. All data we receive is aggregated, meaning your personal details are never shared. You can feel secure knowing your responses are anonymous and your privacy is protected.
This is your college, your experience, and your future. The Student Experience Survey is your opportunity to help shape it. We are listening and are ready to act on your feedback.
Take a few minutes to complete the SES today. Your insights are invaluable as we work together to make ICMS the best it can be.
Check your student email now for your personal survey link and have your say!
