Jonathan Hvaal is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE with almost 20 years of experience in education, specialising in curriculum innovation, learning design, and academic transformation. He leads the Learning, Teaching and Innovation team at ICMS, where he drives strategic projects that integrate evidence-based practice, AI, and learning science to prepare students and staff for the future of work.
Passionate about enhancing learning through innovation, Jonathan has overseen the design and rollout of new programs across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and spearheaded initiatives to uplift digital capability and assessment strategy. His career highlights include leading TEQSA-accredited course developments, rebuilding the ICMS Moodle learning environment, and presenting and publishing internationally on student success, technology-enhanced learning, and employability.
