Subject Aim:

The aim of this subject is to provide students with an understanding of global sourcing and supply chain design, and how organisations these supply chains must be created in international contexts. It provides the theory as well as practical applications of the theory to global logistics.

  • Define what is international logistics
  • Explain various global logistic challenges
  • Apply global supply chain knowledge to a supply chain plan
  • Recognise the cost and efficiencies of global logistics
  • Explain the methods of entry into a foreign market
  • Apply warehousing, transporting, and inventory control to real life situations
