NORS Scouts, a volunteer scouts group in Sydney, is looking for an experienced cook for our annual summer camp near Wisemans Ferry, NSW.

Key responsibilities:

• Cook breakfast, lunch and dinner for about 70 people (children and adults) every day of camp, from our set menu and recipes.

• All food is bought and organised for you.

• Use a fully equipped industrial kitchen, with two adult volunteers helping you each day.

• Wash pots, pans and cooking equipment. Serving and dishwashing are done by our leaders and scouts.

• Lift and move heavy items, such as large pots, crates and deliveries.

You will need:

• Experience cooking for large groups (camps, catering, commercial kitchens or work placement).

• A current NSW Working With Children Check (paid employment).

• A food safety certificate (at least NSW Food Authority Food Handler Basics).

• Two references we can call.

• To be fit, reliable and happy to live on site at a children’s camp for the whole camp.
