EVT302A
Students with practical knowledge and skills are highly sought after by employers in the events industry. What better way to show your prowess in events, than with the opportunity to bring about an event of your own creation!
This subject is designed for students to utilise all their knowledge and skills gained from previous studies and prior industry experience to create and carry out an event within the duration of this subject.
Students will also have access to real clients and work on real client briefs with the outcome being the demonstrated ability of students in all aspects of an event, from event design conceptualising to the actual realisation of a memorable event for a real client, and everything else in between.
EVT302B
Event experiences are central to how contemporary events create value for audiences, communities, and stakeholders. Beyond technical planning, event professionals are required to design, coordinate, and deliver experiences that respond to audience needs, operational constraints, and real-time decision-making environments. This subject focuses on the integration of event experience design with practical delivery considerations, preparing students to operate confidently in live event contexts.
Students will apply knowledge developed across earlier event planning, logistics, finance, and risk subjects to design and stage an event experience. Emphasis is placed on translating conceptual ideas into operational plans, coordinating resources and teams, and exercising professional judgement during live delivery.
Through experiential, portfolio-based assessment, students develop advanced capabilities in planning, delivering, and critically evaluating event experiences. The subject supports progression into senior event management roles by strengthening students’ ability to integrate creative intent with operational execution and reflective professional practice.
