HOS320

Subject Aim:

The aim of this subject is to engender your confidence in analysing and implementing decisions in semi-complex safe business situations.

You will be able to evaluate broad ranges of accumulated learning by running a business within a safe and accelerated environment. Periodic reports assess team performance whilst simultaneously developing word processing and spreadsheet skills.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Identify business opportunities and threats through analysis of a background document.Manage finances by developing and remaining within the confines of an operating budget.
  2. Participate in the decision-making and problem solving processes of a team.
  3. Applying administration, time management and conflict resolution skills by producing regular progress reports.
  4. Distinguishing performance through discussion and comparison of results and investigation of variances.
  5. Forecast and monitor business performance and report results on a timely basis.

Student Assessment:
