At ICMS we work hard and play hard too! Sport is a great way not just to keep fit but to make friends and make the most of your time at ICMS.
As well as fun on-campus activities we also have sporting teams representing ICMS in internal and external tournaments – so there’s something for everyone!
Here on-campus, we run several sporting competitions and clubs in a social and fun environment for students of any skill level to participate in. These sports run on a weekly basis or may be played as a single gala day throughout the trimester!

ICMS’ Manly Campus is surrounded by some of Australia’s most beautiful walks, beaches, and views which are used for several activities.

Sign-ups for external competitions take place at the beginning of each sporting season. All information regarding the commencement of competitions is sent via student email and posted around campus.

ICMS enters a team into the Get Tagg’d Oz Tag competition each year, a fun and social competition that takes place at Rat Park, Warriewood. We enter a Mixed team that is open to students of all abilities looking to play and make friends.
ICMS competes in a friendly local netball competition run by Northern Beaches Netball at the Northern Beaches Indoor Sports Centre, Warriewood. We enter a Mixed team that is open to students of all abilities looking to play and make friends.
ICMS enters a team into the Manly Warringah Touch competition held at Nolan Reserve. We enter a Mixed team that is open to students of all abilities looking to play and make friends.
ICMS play in a local, competitive Futsal competition run by the Northern Beaches Futsal Association. We often enter a Men’s team that is open to students of all abilities looking to play and make friends.
ICMS students have the opportunity to participate in UniSport’s various Inter Varsity competitions throughout the year, as well as the annual UniNationals competition in September. UniSport brings together teams from Universities across Australia to compete in a variety of sports including athletics, basketball, football (soccer), rugby, netball, tennis, and many others.
UniNationals is a multi-sport event held over several days in September with competitions taking place in different venues within the host city. These events cater to a diverse range of sports and skill levels, allowing students to engage in their favourite sports and represent their universities on a competitive stage.
Previously, ICMS has sent students for a range of sports and have been quite successful in surfing, basketball, rugby, tennis, and more.
With nine beautiful beaches within walking distance of the ICMS campus in Manly, and Manly Beach itself having been rated by TripAdvisor as the Best Beach in Australia (2018 and 2019), Surf Lifesaving is a fantastic way for students to really experience a coastal lifestyle while meeting people and making friends.
ICMS is a proud partner of Surf Life Saving Northern Beaches, this includes a professional scholarship and sponsorship agreement.
Visitors to the Northern Beaches will easily spot the many ICMS-branded lifesaving tents on the beaches, including Palm Beach where the famous Home and Away TV series is shot.

ICMS is a major sponsor and partner of the Manly Rugby Union Football Club, home of the Manly Marlins. The club was formed in 1906 and competes in the New South Wales Rugby Union competitions, the Shute Shield and Tooheys New Cup.
Students and Alumni of ICMS have played and supported for the Manly Marlins for many years contributing to the clubs ongoing success. With a capacity of 5,000, Manly Oval is a festive place for students to play or watch a great game of rugby.
