A Head Start for Career-Minded Students

Applications for Early Entry are now CLOSED. If you missed the 14th September deadline please don't worry - simply submit a regular ONLINE APPLICATION. This means your application will be assessed on your HSC results and your application interview. Dates for the regular application interviews are: Sunday 10 November, Saturday 16 November and Sunday 1 December. You will be invited if you have made a direct application or if you have listed your ICMS course as your highest possible preference in UAC.

About Early Entry

Early Entry is designed for high-achieving HSC students who want to secure a place at ICMS in February 2020 before sitting their final exams.

To be eligible, you need to demonstrate that you have a strong academic record and the potential to be an outstanding ICMS student through your passion and commitment for a career in one of the areas of study we offer: Business, Events, Hospitality, International Tourism, Marketing and New Media, Entrepreneurship, Property, Retail Marketing, Sports Management, Accounting or Fashion and Global Brand Management. If you believe you do not meet the criteria for Early Entry you may be eligible for the Elite Athlete/Performer Pathway Program or the Leadership Entry Program. Alternatively, make a Direct Application.

If you are a successful early entry applicant, you will receive an offer for a place at ICMS before you sit your final exams. It is a great way to gain a sense of future security for your most important school year.

To Apply for Early Entry

Step 1:

APPLICATION

Complete an application form. Now closed. 

Step 2:

SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION

An ICMS representative will contact you to request the following documentation;

1) Your personal statement:

Please submit a 1,000 word statement outlining:

  • Why you want a career in your chosen course.
  • Any extracurricular activities you have been involved in.
  • What work or other experience you may have had that make you suitable for this course.
  • Anything additional that makes you an outstanding applicant for one of our courses.

2) Letter of Recommendation:

Please submit a letter of recommendation from your Year 12 advisor, Dean of Studies, Career Advisor or similar. (Letter of Recommendation Template)

3) Your year 12 school results:

Please submit copies of your Semester 1 and Trial HSC results.*

Step 3:

INTERVIEW

Interviews take place on the 21st September 2019 and you will be allocated a time and provided further details.

Rural and interstate applicants may be eligible for a phone interview.

Step 4:

OUTCOME

You will be advised of the outcome of your application and if successful will receive an early entry place to the relevant ICMS Bachelor degree before you sit your HSC exams.

Applications close on the 14th September 2019.

You must ensure your application is submitted by this deadline even if you are still awaiting your Year 12 Trial results.

*The application deadline is strictly enforced. If you are unsure your trial results will be available prior to the close of applications, simply submit your application and supply your results in due course.
