A Day of Pride and Possibility: ICMS October 2025 Graduation

A Day of Pride and Possibility: ICMS October 2025 Graduation

November 4, 2025

The ICMS October 2025 Graduation was a celebration of students’ hard work and achievement.

In the heart of the Northern Beaches Campus, graduates from ICMS, Aspire Institute, and ISCA gathered with their families, supporters, and faculty to mark an important milestone.

A Shared Journey, Many Small Steps

Graduation day is a chance to reflect on the journey each student has taken, shaped by late-night study sessions, group projects, lively discussions, industry mentors, and friendships that will last a lifetime.

As Professor Heidi Le Sueur, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Learning and Teaching), reminded the Class of 2025:

“Transformation happens not all at once, but in many moments; late nights, group projects, challenges, and laughter shared along the way.

“All those moments stitched together have changed you, and that’s precisely what the future demands.”

Every student’s story is different, but the spirit is shared: perseverance, curiosity, and courage to take on new challenges.

Words of Encouragement from Those Who’ve Been There

This spirit was echoed by guest speakers, including ICMS alumni who have charted their own successful careers and were here to pass on their insights.

Francisco Vasconcellos, now a Leadership and Performance Coach for the Royal Australian Navy, looked back on his years since graduating from ICMS and encouraged students to value their individual paths.

“The way you exist and the way you see the world is unique to you, and ‘you’ is your greatest power,” he said, emphasising how growth often comes through challenges. “Tough times make the best self-discovery experiences, helping to make you even more you.”

Alexandra King, Co-Founder and Director of Ask Marketing, reassured graduates that purpose is found a little at a time.

“Keep saying yes, even when you don’t have all the answers,” she encouraged.

“Every experience, each person you meet, these are pebbles on your pathway to something bigger.”

Reflections on Growth, Community, and Saying Yes

Student voices added warmth and honesty to the ceremonies.

Graduating student Ellie Matthews (Bachelor of Business [Fashion and Global Brand Management]) looked back on her time at ICMS with gratitude for friendships and the little moments that shaped her journey.

“You won’t look back and regret the things you did – you’ll regret the things you didn’t do,” she shared, speaking to the importance of showing up for experiences, both academic and social.

For postgraduate student speaker Anamaria Mihaescu (Master of Event Management), her ICMS years were about more than a degree, they were about finding community and discovering new possibilities.

“ICMS didn’t just teach us how to succeed; it taught us to lead with heart, to create with purpose, and to dream beyond what once felt possible,” she said.

She finished with a wish for her fellow graduates: “‘Viața bate filmul’, which means ‘life beats the movies’.”

Looking Ahead

Graduation at ICMS is a celebration of potential, a recognition that the true value lies not just in the certificate but in the journey, the growth, and the community built along the way.

As you join a global alumni network of ICMS graduates, remember to stay curious, support one another, and say yes to new challenges.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025. The future is yours, and we can’t wait to see where you take it.
