Triple Triumph: Encore Roles for ICMS Event Students

Triple Triumph: Encore Roles for ICMS Event Students

June 5, 2025

A single day can change everything. For three ICMS Master of Event Management students, that day came on 3 July 2024, during an exclusive, behind-the-scenes excursion to Encore ANZPAC, one of ICMS’s valued industry partners.

Jessica Mantel, Eva Mangin, and Anamaria Mihaescu left that visit feeling inspired. Fast forward less than a year, and all three are now Sales Coordinators with the Encore ANZPAC team in Sydney.

Turning Experience Into Opportunity

Reflecting on her experience, Anamaria said, “At ICMS, it’s not just about lectures and textbooks; it’s about real-world experience and meaningful connections. Everything ICMS does is for us, the students.

“The excursion to Encore ANZPAC is just one example among many. It wasn’t the first, and it certainly won’t be the last.

“These industry visits are more than just field trips; they’re pathways to opportunity. Through our connection with ICMS, we were introduced to the team at Encore, an experience that left a lasting impression on all of us.

“For some, myself included, it even led to exciting roles within the company.

“That’s the ICMS difference: providing the push, the support, and the industry links that students need to spread their wings and begin making their mark on the world.

“Thank you for investing in and empowering the Gen Zs of today, for a better tomorrow.”

The ICMS Approach to Learning

This excursion highlights ICMS’s distinctive approach to education.

Here, students don’t just learn theory; they step into the world of professionals, engaging directly with leaders in the industry.

It’s where networking turns into action, and where dreams – like the ones Jessica, Eva, and Anamaria had – begin to take shape in real-world settings.

ICMS Event Program Manager, Janene Wardrop, explained why these experiences are so valuable.

“Industry immersion bridges the gap between classroom theory and professional practice.

“These experiences not only enhance employability but also help students find clarity in their career goals while developing the skills they need to succeed.”

From Inspiration to Career Growth

For Jessica, Eva, and Anamaria, that clarity turned into confidence. They pursued roles at Encore, a global leader in creating world-class event experiences.

Now as Sales Coordinators, the three graduates bring their talents to life, contributing to the success of the Encore ANZPAC team.

The ICMS Difference in Action

“Everything ICMS does is for us, the students,” Anamaria said.

“Through ICMS’s support and connections, I not only gained insight into the events industry but was also introduced to a company that now feels like home.”
