ICMS recently welcomed Channel 7’s Sunrise team to its Northern Beaches Campus. Over the course of seven live weather segments, presenter Sam Mac and the crew highlighted the campus, its students, and the vibrant community to a national audience of more than 1.2 million viewers.
The day began early, with the Sunrise crew arriving at 4:30am to set up. Students, staff, and faculty gathered shortly after, creating a lively atmosphere that brought the campus to life.
From the iconic castle backdrop to engaging student activities, the broadcast showcased the unique character and opportunities ICMS offers.
The broadcast opened with the ICMS castle as a striking backdrop, where a crowd of students and staff gathered to welcome the Sunrise team.
Presenter Sam Mac explored the campus, capturing its energy and the stunning views of the Northern Beaches.
Vice President (Marketing) Stephen Dally joined Sam on top of the belltower, which offers a panoramic view of the coastline.
“You can see all the beaches up to Palm Beach from here,” Stephen said.
He also shared insights about ICMS, noting, “We’ve been delivering higher education on the Northern Beaches for 30 years now, with students from all over the world.”
The morning featured a variety of activities that highlighted student life at ICMS.
These included a buzzing BBQ with SRC President Sophia Bignold and student DJ Oscar, event management students presenting creative concepts, and a futsal match that added a competitive edge to the broadcast.
Each segment reflected the diversity and vibrancy of the ICMS community.
Stephen also spoke about the college’s global reach.
“Most of our students are Australian, but we also have students from Germany, France, and beyond. It’s all about delivering a great student experience,” he said.
The Sunrise visit provided a unique opportunity to showcase ICMS to a national audience. The broadcast highlighted the college’s strengths, including its location, academic programs, and dynamic campus life.
The event was a success, with the ICMS community coming together to represent the college on a national stage.
