ICMS Hosts Successful Celebrity Chef Charity Dinner for Be Centre

ICMS Hosts Successful Celebrity Chef Charity Dinner for Be Centre

May 29, 2018

Celebrity chefs, local sports stars and generous foodies came together to raise funds for Be Centre at a successful Cooked with Love event on 19 May.

Hosted by the International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) at the campus’ gorgeous castle on the hill in Manly, Northern Beaches, just outside Sydney, NSW, guests took a culinary walk down memory lane created by the wonderful combination of chefs Jimmy Wong, Be Centre Ambassador and MasterChef top 24, 2016, Elena Duggan, MasterChef winner 2016, and Arum Nixon, MasterChef finalist 2017.

ICMS students worked alongside other paid staff to bring to the tables an exquisite three course meal that excited the senses and paid homage to childhood memories.

Be Centre, located in Manly, is a registered children’s charity that provides play therapy to children in need of help navigating through tough situations. This is a safe space where children are supported to make sense of situations and events; explore and express their feelings; restore trust and build self-confidence so childhood issues do not become problems in adult life. The centre also offers programs to support parents and carers with training and workshop programs for professionals.

Be Centre relies solely on community support to fund helping children in need and to ensure ongoing provision of affordable services.

The Cooked with Love evening was a fantastic success thanks to the generosity of the diners and the enthusiasm of the volunteers and chefs.
