ICMS Industry Partner Expo 2025 Brings Opportunities to Life

ICMS Industry Partner Expo 2025 Brings Opportunities to Life

April 3, 2025

ICMS students and industry professionals met up, networked and connected at the recent ICMS Industry Partner Expo that took place recently at the ICMS Northern Beaches Campus.

The well-supported and attended Expo was about building bridges between education and careers.

For students, it was a chance to talk one-on-one with industry professionals, hand out resumes, and gain a clearer idea of what lies ahead.

Companies were able to showcase their culture, goals, and opportunities, leaving a lasting impression on future talent.

“ICMS is grateful to our WIL industry partners for their invaluable support in providing our students the opportunity to network with industry professionals,” Natalie Harrison, ICMS Professional Placement and Alumni Manager, said.

“Their commitment to offering professional placement opportunities and mentoring the next generation of professionals aligns perfectly with our vision to be Australia’s leading industry-focused university college.”

Industry Insights from the Event

Darcy Carnahan, Membership and Ticketing Sales Officer at GWS Giants, explained why events like this are so important.

“For us, it’s all about that face-to-face time. A lot of our roles, especially in membership and ticketing, need great communicators.

“This event helps us see beyond resumes and find students who can really thrive.”

“ICMS students are often the best we come across. We’ve had several go from interns to full-time employees at the Giants.

“The 600-hour internship program is a standout because it gives students enough time to truly grow, gain confidence, and even bring fresh ideas to the table. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

Another supporter of the event was Selin Erginbas, Recruitment and People System Manager at Hilton Sydney.

Reflecting on an enduring partnership with ICMS, she shared, “Hilton and ICMS have a long history together.

“We’ve had ICMS alumni grow successful careers with us, including one alum who started as a Food & Beverage attendant and is now our Front Office Manager with nearly 20 years of service.

“Events like the Expo are so valuable because they bring industry to the students, offering them a safe and comfortable environment to ask questions, network, and gain confidence.

“It’s not just about jobs today but opening doors for their futures.”

Creating Something Special

The ICMS Industry Partner Expo 2025 wasn’t just a networking event; it was a chance to unlock new opportunities.

Students left feeling inspired and more prepared to step into their careers, while industry partners were impressed by the skills and drive they saw.

By bringing industry leaders and students together, ICMS once again showed its commitment to building confident, industry-ready graduates and creating connections that matter.

This year’s event was yet another step in shaping Australia’s next generation of leaders.
