ICMS Named Finalist in NSW Export Awards for International Education

ICMS Named Finalist in NSW Export Awards for International Education

November 4, 2025

In recognition for its outstanding contribution to global education and student success, ICMS has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious NSW Premier’s Export Awards

The college is nominated in the International Education and Training category, an award we previously won in 2017.

This recognition places ICMS among an elite group of education providers making a significant impact on Australia’s export industry.

The other finalists in the category are the Academy of Entrepreneurs, TAFE NSW International, the University of Sydney Centre for English Teaching Group Study Programs, and UOW Global Enterprises.

Celebrating Industry Impact

The nomination highlights the success of the ICMS Employability Framework, a unique model launched in 2022 that integrates career readiness into every stage of the student journey.

This focus on industry training and professional development has produced exceptional results.

In 2025, 95% of ICMS students were employed before graduation, a significant increase from 88% in 2022 and well above the national average.

Furthermore, 60% of graduates secure employment with their internship host company.

ICMS’s recognition goes beyond strong graduate outcomes.

As an Australian education exporter, ICMS welcomes students from more than 50 countries and has steadily increased its international student cohort, particularly from Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

The college has built robust partnerships across the globe, including more than 1,000 industry partners offering Work Integrated Learning placements, and new collaborations such as the landmark ICMS–GZUC United College in China.

ICMS invests in regional marketing staff, locally relevant student support, and scholarships to attract quality students from diverse backgrounds.

The Northern Beaches Campus and City Campus in Sydney provide a home base for a global student community, while technology and a vibrant alumni network help extend ICMS’s export impact well beyond graduation.

This finalist status reflects the college’s commitment to preparing graduates who are employable, adaptable, and ready to contribute to industries in Australia and worldwide.

Leadership Perspective

ICMS President Rowan Courtney-O’Connor celebrated the announcement, reflecting on the college’s commitment to delivering real-world outcomes.

“Being named a finalist is a reflection of our focus on what truly matters: preparing students for successful global careers.

“We are exporting industry-ready, confident, and connected graduates who make an immediate impact in industries across Australia and beyond.”

ICMS offers a range of industry-focused bachelor’s and master’s degrees, with every program including a built-in Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement.
