January 19, 2024

ICMS Bachelor of Hospitality Management student Jack Parsons and Jennifer Dwyer will represent ICMS at the 2024 Young Hospitality Summit (YHS) in Lausanne, Switzerland, in March.

The pair impressed through a rigorous selection process to be part of around 80 delegates from 26 countries who will attend the prestigious Summit held at the EHL, the oldest hotel school in the world.

“Jen and Jack submitted outstanding application folios and were an obvious choice to represent ICMS at YHS in Switzerland,” ICMS Professional Placement Consultant Marianne Saulwick said.

“We are extremely proud of them and know they will have a brilliant experience.”

YHS – for Future leaders in Hospitality

Founded in 2010, the YHS is organized and run by a team of ESL hospitality students to create a platform for future leaders in the hospitality industry.

The summit is the largest of its kind in the world. It provides a space for students to network with industry experts, explore job opportunities, and build invaluable global connections.

Jack and Jennifer, both in their third year of studies, will mingle with students representing the best hospitality management schools around the world.

YHS is also an opportunity for delegates to engage with those currently at the top of their game.

Previous speakers have held key positions at companies such as LVMH, Amazon, AirBnB, Conde Nast Traveller and Marriott International.

“Attending the YHS 2024 Summit in Switzerland at EHL is a tremendous privilege and means that I will have access to future industry connections that will benefit my future career,” Jack said.

“I look forward to meeting like-minded people and learning from industry professionals about how things are done in various countries.”

Jennifer shared similar sentiments.

“I’m super keen to attend YHS; a highly regarded international summit,” she said.

“Along with the benefits of being involved in the summit, there is the opportunity to use the experience to impress future employers.”

ICMS degree = global connections

Having the opportunity to attend events such as the YHS is why the ICMS Bachelor of Business (Hospitality Management) offers students the best in industry-relevant education.

At YHS, Jack and Jennifer will learn about the hospitality industry’s new advancements and challenges. They can take this knowledge, and connections made, with them beyond graduation.
