September 11, 2018

Trevor Loewensohn has been welcomed on to the International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) Board of Directors.

Loewensohn brings to the ICMS Board a wealth of knowledge in business, with over 30 years’ experience in the field of investment banking at a global level.

As co-founder and Managing Director of Alceon, a specialist investment, advisory and capital finance firm with a private mid-market focus and in excess of $1 billion of assets under management, Loewensohn’s expertise at board level is welcomed by ICMS founder and chair Darryl Courtney-O’Connor.

“To have Trevor on the ICMS Board of Directors is a real honour, and we thank him for taking on this role among his many other responsibilities,” Courtney-O’Connor said.

“It’s also a smart move on our part, as Trevor brings with him decades of experience in business, an industry that ICMS specialises in. Our students and staff will benefit greatly by having someone of Trevor’s experience and capabilities in the team that steers our proud institution as we move ahead in the higher education field.”

Speaking at a recent ICMS graduation ceremony, Loewensohn said he had a long and proud association with the college that is located in the Northern Beaches, Sydney.

Loewensohn said ICMS would always have a special place in his heart. His daughter, Chelsea Loewensohn, attended ICMS and graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Business Management.

Loewensohn’s investment banking experience has been acquired through critical roles in leading global investment banks, including those of Vice Chairman at UBS and Head of Investment Banking and Joint CEO at JP Morgan.

Before co-founding ALceon, Loewensohn was the Global Head of Capital Markets at Babcock & Brown, where he established a global capital raising and advisory capability. Following the impact of the 2008 global financial crisis, Loewensohn led Babcock & Brown’s asset sale programme, successfully completing the sale of more than 20 major funds, companies and assets.

Loewensohn holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Fellow of the Securities Institute of Australia.
