Wotif backs the ICMS in Professional Scholarships Program

November 19, 2020

Leading online travel site, Wotif has united with the International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) to offer a ICMS undergraduate Professional Scholarship in 2021.

This initiative will see Wotif provide a prospective degree student a tuition and/or accommodation waiver of up to $30,000 as part of an ICMS Professional Scholarship award.

Wotif is a leading online travel site, offering accommodation, flights, activities, car hire and travel insurance, both at home and overseas. Having operated in the Australian market since 2000, the brand has a strong legacy and heritage in the local tourism industry.

ICMS Professional Scholarship Program chair Ann Whitelock-Courtney O’Connor welcomed Wotif as a valued industry partner and thanked the brand for coming on board the prestigious scholarship program. ICMS, located in Northern Beaches and the city of Sydney, NSW, offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees across a range of fields.

“We are really excited about working with Wotif on the ICMS Professional Scholarship Program,” Whitelock-Courtney O’Connor said.

“To be supported while studying by such an innovative and leading player in the tourism industry, both regionally and globally, is a massive win for us and for our students.”

Each year ICMS provides a comprehensive range of scholarship opportunities for new and current students, from industry and ICMS-sponsored professional scholarships to tuition fee, accommodation and financial hardship scholarships.

According to Daniel Finch, Wotif Managing Director, “Wotif is dedicated to supporting local Australian tourism, with the aim of getting more Aussies travelling to regional areas.

“With our commitment to local tourism, the ICMS and Wotif scholarship is a fantastic opportunity for us to connect with and support students who are interested in the travel industry. We are excited to inspire the next generation of the industry talent and hope to give them a deeper understanding of how dynamic, fast paced and diverse a career in travel can be”.

The closing date for applications for the Wotif/ICMS Professional Scholarship Award is 19 November 2020. For more information, visit: https://www.icms.edu.au/future-students/scholarships/
