Looking to defer?

Australian and New Zealand students

Have you received your offer and thinking about deferring an offer of admission*? Perhaps you’re thinking about having a gap year first?

Before you formally defer, Australian and New Zealand students might like to consider:

  • enrolling in just one or two subjects at first. Slowly start your degree, then ramp it up when you feel ready
  • starting in February with just one trimester and then requesting a Leave of Absence**. This means you still get to catch the European summer!
  • having a timetable that means you only need to do 2–3 days of studies per week. This means it’s possible to work while you study.

Still want to apply for a deferral?

Applicants with an offer of admission who wish to defer their course commencement date are required to defer in accordance with the ICMS Deferral Procedure.
