EVT203A
Note: This subject is approved equivalent in content, assessments and learning outcomes to EVT203A Event Production. This arrangement applies to the nested Diploma qualifications of these courses also.
Event production involves translating event designs and plans into live operational reality, requiring effective coordination of people, resources, and environments under time-critical and often unpredictable conditions. Professionals working in event delivery must manage teams, stakeholders, and operational processes while responding to real-time challenges and ensuring safe, inclusive, and ethical practice.
This subject develops students’ capabilities in event design execution by focusing on the practical aspects of producing events, including workforce coordination, operational communication, regulatory compliance, and on-site decision-making. Students engage with authentic production scenarios that require them to apply planning documentation, manage live delivery processes, and respond to emerging issues during event execution.
Through applied learning activities and assessment-based tasks, students build confidence in managing events in people-intensive environments and reflecting on performance to inform continuous improvement. The subject prepares students for supervised event delivery roles and provides a foundation for advanced study and work-integrated learning in event management.
Learning Outcomes:
a) Interpret event design and planning documentation to support live event production and delivery.
b) Apply event delivery processes by coordinating allocated tasks, resources, and activities within an event team.
c) Implement regulatory, safety, and operational requirements to the execution of live events.
d) Evaluate event delivery outcomes to inform future improvements in event production practice.
