Industry leaders continue to inspire and inform International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) students as the college has shifted to online learning amid the Covid-19 pandemic, with guest speakers interacting via zoom and on other digital platforms.
The shift to online, necessitated by government regulations for the safety of the general community while Covid-19 is an issue, has been embraced by lecturers and students, with many students reaching out personally to speakers after lectures. These network opportunities and industry contacts are invaluable and underline why ICMS is Ranked #1 for Event Management and Hospitality Management in Australia, based on graduate employability* and why the higher education institution boasts an impressive graduate employment rate.
“While we look forward to the days ahead when we can move fully back onto campus and meet industry speakers face to face in the lecture rooms, having them visit our students online has been embraced and there are many positives to this arrangement,” ICMS Chief Operating Officer Rowan Courtney-O’Connor said.
“ICMS continues to focus on what industry experts can offer our students in terms of experience, and to show industry what our students can offer as graduates. It’s a win-win scenario and we are thankful to have leaders in their fields take the time out to share their knowledge and expertise.”
