If you are an Australian or New Zealand student, follow these steps to apply to study at ICMS.
Find out which of our ICMS degrees or diplomas are the right fit for you. Consider your interests, career goals, and the level of qualification you wish to attain.
There are several ways you can apply to study at ICMS.
Undergraduate: If this is your first degree, then you are an undergraduate student. At ICMS, we believe that attitude and ambition are not always measurable by your ATAR. Instead, we base your direct application on your performance in individual HSC subjects (or equivalent) related to your degree, not your ATAR. ICMS may also contact you to attend an application interview.
Postgraduate: If you have already graduated with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (or if you have applicable work experience), then you are a postgraduate student. Make sure you meet the postgraduate entry requirements, then submit your application directly with ICMS.
To be eligible for admission to ICMS, you will need to provide the following documents:
If you are applying for Advanced Standing (Recognition of Prior Learning), you will also need to provide the following;
We may also request any of the following:
Remember, places at ICMS are limited. We recommend applying before the orientation dates to avoid disappointment.
Note: You are able to apply at any stage and do not require supporting documents to receive a conditional offer. You can reserve your place at ICMS by accepting your conditional offer.

If you are an Australian or New Zealand student in your final year of high school, we recommend that you apply through UAC as well as directly to ICMS. This is so that we can use your final-year results to consider you for an ICMS High Academic Place (HAP). A HAP means that part of your tuition fees are subsidised by ICMS, rewarding your hard work in the High School Certificate (HSC), or equivalent. HAPs are typically awarded on the basis of an application interview and your academic performance in the HSC (or equivalent). They are only available for undergraduate domestic students currently in their final year of high school who are applying for the upcoming February intake.
ICMS has several early entry pathways for students in their final year of high school who would like to receive an offer to study a bachelor’s degree before they sit their HSC exams. Options include the Early Entry, Leadership Entry, and Elite Athlete and Performer programs. We also participate in UAC’s Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS). Learn more about alternate entry pathways.

A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is a number issued to students by the government. The USI is required to apply for FEE-HELP, as well as to obtain your qualification. It’s free and easy to create your USI. Once created, you have it for life. Create your USI.
Please note, tuition fees at ICMS can be covered by FEE-HELP which is an Australian Government study loan (Australian citizens only).
Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Application deadlines are published on the ICMS website.
After we assess your application, we will send you a Letter of Offer, Conditional Letter of Offer or Letter of Decline within two working days (or within 10 working days for those requiring assessment for advanced standing).
Applicants who wish to accept an offer to a course must do so by the means specified in their Letter of Offer. Applicants with an offer of admission who wish to defer the start date of their course are required to defer in accordance with the Deferral Procedures.
To secure your place at ICMS, you’ll need to accept your offer. Simply follow the instructions in your Letter of Offer.
Alternatively, you can defer your offer if you’re not ready to start your studies yet.
If you receive an unconditional Letter of Offer directly from ICMS, please send through your signed Acceptance of Offer and Written Agreement (see page 4 of the Letter of Offer) to [email protected]. Alternatively, accept your offer online at Accept Your Offer. Once we receive your signed Acceptance of Offer and Written Agreement, you will receive your acceptance via email within two working days.
If you receive a conditional Letter of Offer directly from ICMS, please submit final HSC results before we can finalise your acceptance. You must meet the ICMS entry requirements to be eligible for acceptance. In the meantime, you can reserve your place by sending through your signed Acceptance of Offer and Written Agreement (page 4 of the Letter of Offer) to [email protected]. Alternatively, accept your offer online at Accept Your Offer.
ICMS will contact you with instructions on how to accept within 24 hours of receiving your offer from UAC. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].

What is a High Academic Place (HAP)?
Hard work deserves to be rewarded and our High Academic Place (HAP) means that a significant portion of your tuition fees could be subsidised by ICMS.
ICMS HAPs are only available for domestic undergraduate students in their final year of high school who intend to start their studies in the upcoming February intake. HAPs cannot be deferred.
If applying through UAC, you must include your chosen ICMS course as your highest possible preference. All applications to made through UAC will be considered for an ICMS HAP – you do not need to make a special application.
Please note, HAPs should not be confused with scholarships.
