Personal Support

ICMS remains committed to the physical and emotional health and well-being of our students. The Wellness team provides appropriate guidance and personal support to our students when needed. If you feel overwhelmed at any time or a personal problem arises, you can speak to our Wellness team who can help you or guide you in finding appropriate help.

Academic Support Services

ICMS offers a wide range of academic support services for students. Our Academic Learning Centre (ALC) has academic learning advisers who will help you to develop is open from Monday to Friday every week of term, and provides opportunities to develop your academic skills and prepare you for the cultural change to tertiary student life.

Learning support available so that you can achieve the best academic results possible are in the areas of:

  • Effective study techniques
  • Note-taking skills
  • Exam preparation techniques
  • Time and stress management
  • Academic writing
  • Oral presentations
  • Specialist English language support
  • Marked assignments including academic style and language feedback
  • One-on-one and group advice

The ALC also runs a Peer Assisted Learning Service (PALS). It is a program where high performing students assist others in specific areas of their studies. Be it grasping a key concept or steering students in the right direction, our PALS mentors give up their time voluntarily to ensure students succeed at ICMS.
