As regional winners, ICMS will attend the 55th Annual National Australian Export Awards in Canberra on 5 December. The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) partner to present this national program, one of the longest running business awards programs in Australia. The Awards recognise Australian businesses for their export achievements and contribution to Australia’s economic prosperity.
The 2017 NSW Premier’s Export Award award, “For outstanding innovation and international success in the field of education and training services, expertise and curriculum,” was presented at a gala ceremony at the Star in Pyrmont on 25 October. Other nominees in the category were the English Language Company, IELTS Online (Access Macquarie Limited) and University of Wollongong Enterprises.
“This award acknowledges the important contribution of ICMS to the economy through job creation and increased prosperity for the community and for the state, and celebrates the quality of our former and current students,” ICMS CEO and President Dr Dominic Szambowski said.
Delighted at winning the regional award – which underlines the strides the Northern Beaches-based ICMS is making in the higher education industry – Dr Szambowski paid tribute to the people behind the success of the college.
“This award goes to all of ICMS,” he said. “A big ‘thank you’ to the over 170 employees who get up every day and live the dream in making ICMS ‘Australia’s Leading Provider of Career-Focused Education’.”
