About the role

This role is for a Venue and Operations Supervisor who is responsible for the operation of all internal and external events across all ICMS Campuses. Overseeing a team of up to 20 staff, this is a hands-on role leading the day-to-day operations of all outlets and assisting with the events sales and marketing manager to drive revenue and create a service driven culture whilst building a strong and vibrant team.

ICMS Food & Beverage outlets which includes CourtYard Café (CYC) opened to students, staff, and general public; multiple function spaces (venues) across three ICMS campuses in Manly and Sydney CBD; and Marketplace for staff and on-campus residents. The role is primarily based in the Manly Campus, but some travelling to the City campus may be required.

This is a casual opportunity with requirements to assist with evening and weekend work depending on business demands.

Immediate start is Preferred.

About you

You are expected to have relevant supervisor experience in a busy food & Beverage environment, including café & banqueting operations. You should thrive on challenges with a passion for the hospitality industry. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach which is vital for this role, you will need to roll up your sleeves and get involved with every aspect of the business.

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for all day-to-day operations including the set-up and pack down of all internal and external events on all campuses.
  • Oversee and operate catered functions.
  • Responsible for making the function space visually appealing including all collateral (e.g. menu’s) offered for the event.
  • Responsible for the proper usage and good working order of all equipment, furniture and fixtures in the banquet and catering section.
  • Responsible for consistently implementing the high service standards and operating procedures in the banquet and catering service that clients have become accustom to.
  • Assist and support the Events Sales and Marketing Manager to provide excellent guest service.
  • Ensure all outlets are operating efficiently, providing excellent customer service; inventory control; Staff management; Rostering; Timesheet management; Hygiene and food safety; WHS; monitoring and reporting all maintenance work across venue outlets, risks.
  • Supervise events and team members throughout service.
  • Resolve staff and customer concerns quickly and efficiently.
  • Must maintain a current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol, RSA permit.
  • Must provide a Working with Children Check, WWCC.
