Your Placement

In the study period prior to your work integrated learning (WIL) subject, we work closely with you to secure a suitable placement that is the best fit for your skills, interests and professional goals.

For undergraduates, your Industry Training placement entails working for a minimum of 780 hours over the course of two study periods. This can equate to approximately nine months' placement. WIL assessments consist of assignments and evaulations where you can reflect on your academic learning. Support and guidance is given throughout your interviews and your industry placement.

Postgraduates, your placement includes a 600-hour work integrated learning (WIL) subject. This subject will see you fully immersed in the day-to-day activities of a business with responsibility and accountability for professional outcomes. You will apply knowledge of research principles and methods applicable to events, and collect and analyse data to examine and develop solutions for a ‘research problem’ such as a market opportunity or a source of inefficiency.

The industry training team are in regular contact with employers who partner with us to offer you a great work integrated learning experience. Throughout the year, there are opportunities to meet with potential employers at career fairs held on campus.

Your placement could take you anywhere in Australia, or internationally.  We have opportunities in major cities as well as in regional areas. It is all about securing the most suitable placement for you.
